Benefits of Probation

Public Safety

Offenders who do not pose a serious threat to public safety can be effectively supervised on probation where they are monitored to ensure compliance with court orders.

Offender Accountability

Offenders who do not comply with probation requirements are referred back to court and face the possibility of serving the suspended jail sentence or receiving additional sanctions.
