Program Overview
Probation supervision allows appropriate offenders the privilege of a suspended jail sentence while providing access to substance abuse education, treatment, and other social services. Case managers maintain thorough documentation of probation requirements and courts are notified of client progress or non-compliance. Court-ordered probation requirements monitored by Salt Lake County Probation Services can include the following:
- Drug and alcohol education
- Substance abuse treatment
- Mental health treatment
- Ignition interlock device
- Electronic monitoring
- Urinalysis
- Community service
- Monthly contact
- 12-step meetings
- Other conditions as ordered by the court
