Program Overview
Supervised Release
Clients released from Jail by Pretrial Services who have been charged with serious misdemeanor or felony offenses are supervised by Pretrial case managers. Staff members monitor defendants for court appearance and compliance with release conditions, such as daily telephone check-in and substance abuse counseling provided within Criminal Justice Services and the community.
Misdemeanor Own-Recognizance Release
Defendants booked on Class B or Class C misdemeanor charges are considered for an own-recognizance release based on meeting eligibility criteria. The staff monitors court appearance until court adjudication.
Surrender Program
This program is for defendants who have outstanding warrants and is coordinated with the district attorney, defense attorney, arresting officers, court and defendant. Defendants are interviewed by Pretrial staff and all necessary paperwork for release is completed before being booked into jail. Surrender Program clients are scheduled for Arraignment Court, booked into jail, and released for supervision by Pretrial Services.
