Pretrial Surrender Screening

Defendants who have outstanding warrants may be considered for surrender. This requires coordination with the district attorney, defense attorney, court and defendant. Defendants are interviewed by Surrender Screeners. Defendants are then scheduled for and attend Arraignment Court. If the Court concurs with the surrender the defendant reports to the jail and is immediately booked and released for supervision by Pretrial Services.
